Bomb threat called in to Beacon
A bomb threat was called in to Beacon Middle School on Route 24 Jan. 26 fitting the same pattern of robocalls that have caused evacuations of numerous schools in Delaware and other states across the nation.
Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police and school officials confirmed that the threat was called in around 9:50 a.m. The school was evacuated and the threat was investigated. Students returned to school around 10:25 a.m.
Fournier said police were still investigating the source and location of the call.
