Events This Weekend in Delaware and Maryland
With barely a week to go before Christmas, this week's coming events blog is dominated by all sorts of holiday-themed events, festivities, and gatherings at and near the Delaware and Maryland beaches.

Wreaths Across America (December 16)
Rehoboth Beach Main Street and the Rehoboth Beach Homeowners Association are teaming together for this special holiday event, which takes place on Saturday, December 16 at Epworth Cemetery near Grove Park.
Wreaths will be laid at the gravesites of nearly 200 veterans who are buried at the cemetery. The public is invited to participate in this special event with lunch provided afterward at the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company.
Wreaths have been provided by local merchants, community groups, and interested members of the community.

Rehoboth Concert Band Holiday Concert (December 17)
The Rehoboth Concert Band will be holding its 2023 holiday concert on Sunday, December 16, at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes.
Scheduled for 1 to 5 p.m., the band will be performing traditional Christmas carols, songs of international peace, and seasonal medleys.

Santa's Workshop (December 15)
Santa's Workshop will be open for the public this Friday, December 15, at Vanderwende Acres on Atlanta Road in Seaford.
Activities in the on-site barn will include making cookies with Mrs. Claus, decorating ornaments at the Elf Training School, writing letters to Santa, bounce houses, face painting, and more.
There will also be a fully catered buffet, special treats from Vanderwende's ice cream truck, and hot chocolate from Hitched Mobile Pub.
This special event will run from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, December 15.
