The Lewes Building Company is proud to be an official sponsor of the third annual Lewes Dragon Boat Festival.  Founded and organized by Krista and Stuart Griffin, this exciting event brings our wonderful community together in the spirit of friendly competition, and is also a fundraiser to support a local public charter school - Sussex Academy.

The Dragon Boat Festival is tomorrow, Sunday, September 13 from 10:00am to 5:00pm, rain or shine.  Enjoy food and beverages in the scenic Lewes Canalfront Park and join over 30 local businesses and individuals as they compete for the bragging rights to being the Dragon Boat Champions!

All proceeds from the Lewes Dragon Boat Festival go directly to help pay for the campus and buildings of the Sussex Academy, a public charter school offering an accelerated academic program for the students of Delaware in grades 6 through 11. Sussex Academy has been recognized by the State of Delaware as a “Superior” school each year it has been rated.
