Riverwalk Freedom Festival, OC Bike Week, Arts & Jazz Fest and Much More Planned for the Middle Weekend of September

Remember a couple of weeks ago when we said that the fall season was going to be jam packed with local festivals and events? Well, welcome to the third week of September!

We have 15 big happenings to tell you about this week at and near the Delaware and Maryland beaches.

Included in this week's preview are some of the biggest events of the season in Milford, in Ocean City, in Millsboro and in several other towns and municipalities in the area.

If you're looking for something to do this weekend, then you're certainly not going to be disappointed as this is one of the busiest event calendars we've seen in the last couple of years.

So pick your favorite, or favorites, and head out this weekend for a great time outdoors at the Delaware and Maryland beaches.

We kick things off this week with a preview of the city of Milford's largest annual festival, which is held on the shores of the beautiful Mispillion River.

Whatever you happen to do this weekend, make it a great one with your friends and/or family!

Riverwalk Freedom Festival (September 18)

The city of Milford's biggest annual festival is scheduled for this Saturday, September 18, along the shores of the picturesque Mispillion River.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Riverwalk Freedom Festival begins at 9 a.m., on Saturday and runs through the evening.

Scheduled activities and events during the course of the day include a car show, food trucks, plenty of local vendors, children's activities, live music, a beer garden and the always fun and popular Duck Dash.

The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks show at dusk.

Southern Delaware Wine, Food & Music Festival (September 18)

This year's Southern Delaware Wine, Food & Music Festival will be held on the ground's of Millsboro's Independence Community and is scheduled for 12 to 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, September 18.

Billed as "a way to enjoy the best tastes, sounds, people and passions of coastal Delaware," the event will feature award-winning chefs and winemakers from around the world, as well as a good selection of live music and more.

Proceeds benefit several local non-profit organizations.

OC Bikefest (September 15-19)

Thousands of bikers and biking enthusiasts will be descending on Ocean City this week for the five-day OC Bikefest, held each fall in Maryland's favorite seaside resort.

The event features national entertainment, live music, stunt shows, a wide selection of vendors, bike builders and much more. It's centered around the Ocean City Convention Center on Coastal Highway, though some events and activities will be held at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium in Salisbury.

Featured acts for 2021 include George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Foghat, Bret Michaels, Tesla, Kid Rock and several others.
