Mark your calendars now for our 2025 Summer Spirituality Series. Our first session will be on Thursday, June 5th at 7 pm. Come join us as Deacon Paula Waite presents “Life Before Death, Living a better life now by planning ahead”. Following her presentation we will share ice cream from King’s Ice Cream. As always, this series is free and open to the public. We’ve got a great line up of presentations this year - so come join us every Thursday evening at 7 pm through the 28th of August.

June 5 - Rev. Paula Waite M.Th., ACC – Life Before Death: Living a better life now by planning ahead

In our society, talking about death or serious illness is often avoided. Not accepting death as a natural part of life can lead to unpleasant situations, such as unnecessary suffering at the end of life, unwanted treatments, and regret.

Moving toward a “good death” is highly variable and specific to each person. Fear and anxiety can be reduced by educating oneself and informing family members about your wishes. The program will cover Advance Care Planning, Medical Interventions, Why Talking Matters.

June 19 - SOAH (Speak Out Against Hate) will offer a program in the Sanctuary.

June 26 – Nancy Alexander, Executive Director, Community Resource Center – “Welcoming the Stranger”

July 3 – Rev. Kathryn Andonian - Walking the Labyrinth: A Path to Peace, Hope, and Wisdom Labyrinth Walk

July 10 – Rev. Dr. Elizabeth Kaeton -  A Decade of Marriage Equality

July 17 – Rev. Fred Day – “Baptizing America” by Bryan Kaylor & Beau Underwood

July 24 – Lisa Swanger Lisa Swanger, Director of Outreach & Education at the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays -  “Protecting the Inland Bays: One Yard At A Time”

July 31 – Rev. Jeffrey Ross, Rector, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Lewes, DE – Anamchara. This session will be held in the Sanctuary.

August 7 – T.J. Thomas, Minister of Music, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Lewes, DE – Compline with choir. This session will be held in the Sanctuary.

August 14 & 21 -Annie Freeman and Robert Gotwalt present a reading of “Murder in the Cathedral” – Two Sessions

August 28 -  Following a Power Point Presentation by Jessica Clark, Journalist, First State African American Black Farmers Association will present a panel discussing experiences and challenges.
