October 26, 2024

Author Dana Harp will sign copies of “Growing Up Hadley" from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach.

At age 13, Hadley lost her mom to cancer, leaving her in the hands of an angry, alcoholic father who chips away at her self-worth until her anxiety is almost crippling. Desperate for solace, she finds an unexpected friendship blooming – a lifeline woven from patience, respect and shared laughter. Suddenly, Hadley starts to smile again. That is, until her father’s outlandish demands ruin everything. As Hadley grows up, she faces a choice – whether to succumb to her father’s toxic hold or finally put herself first and dare to chase the dreams she once whispered to the stars.

A native of central New Jersey, Harp currently works in global operations for oncology clinical research and lives a private life on the bay in Delaware with her husband, their dogs, and her three bonus children.
