‘Lawrence Earl "Larry’ Hudson, retired Marine

Lawrence Earl "Larry" Hudson, 80, of Frankford recently relocated from Gettysburg, Pa., passed away Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born Aug. 13, 1940, in Pontiac, Mich., son of the late Garner Earl and Marion (Darlington) Hudson.

Larry proudly served for 24 years and retired a lifelong Marine from the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed everything from playing golf to cutting the grass (lawnmower man). Above all, Larry was a family man who supported and loved his family and was especially devoted to his wife Penny. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years Penny (Painter)Hudson; his daughters: Jennifer Curry of Frankford, Danette Deer and her partner Jason Nicholson of Tulsa, Okla., Tracey McCoy and her husband Max of Lawton, Okla.; his son, Brad Hudson of Tulsa; his grandchildren: Shayla Hayes, Michael "Mikey" Harant III, Miley Harant, Cory Deer, Nathan Deer, Christian Hudson, Madelyn Hudson, Jonny Larkin and Shelby Dodson; his great-grandchildren: Tatum Deer, Echo Deer, Easton Deer, Avery Deer, Sadie Deer, Nathan Dodson, Koda Larkin; his sister: Jeanette Caswell and her husband Joe of Milford, Mich., and Marjorie Sprouse of Hillman, Mich.; his brother-in-law, Paul Painter of Alexandria, Va.; and his nieces and nephews: Connie Moore, Kelly Caswell-David, Jackie Nakamura, Mike Kline, Joe Kline, Tom Kline, David Sprouse, Zachary Solomon and Mary Ellen Hetman.

Services will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
