6th Annual Organ Recital Series begins June 26 at All Saints' in Rehoboth

The Episcopal Parish of All Saints’ Church & St. George’s Chapel is offering a series of organ recitals from 12:15 to 1 p.m., for seven Thursdays, June 26 through Aug. 14 (no recital July 17). Prominent visiting organists from the Mid-Atlantic region will each present a 40-minute program on All Saints’ Peragallo Pipe Organ at All Saints’ Church, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Robert Church, director of music at St. David’s Episcopal Church, Washington, D.C., and artist in residence at All Saints’ Church, will be the organist June 26.

David Lang, director of music and master of the choristers for Saint John Catholic Church in McLean, Va., will perform July 3.

David Christopher, organist and director of music at The Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew in Wilmington, and conductor of opera, orchestral and choral music, and voice teacher to many of the region's prominent professional singers, will share his talents July 10.

Michael Smith, organist and choirmaster at Church of the Good Shepherd, Rosemont, Pa., will perform July 24.

Monte Maxwell, organist at the U.S. Naval Academy Chapel in Annapolis, Md., will be featured July 31.

Julie Vidrick Evans will be the organist Aug. 7. She is a specialist in the music of J.S. Bach and holds the director of music position at Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C.

The organist for Aug. 14 is to be determined.

The organ recital series has been organized by Robert Church. Some free parking is available in the parish parking lot adjacent to the rectory on Olive Avenue. There is no charge to attend the recitals, but a free-will offering will be collected to support the music program. Contact the parish office at 302-227-7202 for further information.
