The Episcopal Parish of All Saints' Church & St. George's Chapel will continue its 10th Annual Summer Organ Recital Series at 12:15 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 2, following the 11:30 a.m. healing service.
This year's series celebrates the Year of the Woman and features all female organists.
This week's recitalist will be renowned concert organist, chamber and church musician Victoria Shields, director of music for First Presbyterian Church, New Canaan, Conn. Her recital program will feature brilliant works of the organ repertoire, all played with her hallmarks of great flair and depth of musicality.
Shields is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y. She has concertized extensively both at home and abroad in venues such as Princeton University Chapel and St. Mark's Cathedral in Seattle. She has been a featured soloist with the Bach Society of Houston and Washington Bach Consort, and with members of the Seattle, Atlanta, San Francisco and National symphonies.
All Saints’ Church is at 18 Olive Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. The church parking lot is located near the southeast corner of Olive Avenue and First Street. All are welcome.
