All Saints’ to host summer organ concert July 26

The Episcopal Parish of ​​All Saints' Church & St. George's Chapel will continue its 10th Annual​​ Summer Organ Recital Series at 12:15 p.m., Thursday, July 26, following the 11:30 a.m. healing service. This year's series celebrates the Year of the Woman and features all female organists.​ ​

This week's recitalist will be renowned concert organist, educator and church musician Dr. Damin Spritzer, assistant professor of organ at the University of Oklahoma and artist-in-residence for the Cathedral Arts Series of the Cathedral Church of St. Matthew in Dallas.

Damin is a graduate of the University of North Texas, the Eastman School of Music and the Oberlin Conservatory. Her recent concert tours have taken her to venues and music festivals in Italy, Germany, France, Brazil and Israel. ​​She has released four professional CD recordings on the Raven label, three of which are world-premiere recordings of the organ music of René Louis Becker. The fourth recording is a collaborative project with trombonist Dr. Donald Pinson. Damin's fifth CD was recorded at Hereford Cathedral (UK), where she was the first woman to have recorded on the organ there.

All Saints’ Church is at 18 Olive Ave. in Rehoboth Beach. The church parking lot is near the southeast corner of Olive Avenue and First Street. All are welcome.
