American Legion Post 5 to host Memorial Day events May 29

Each year on Memorial Day, people throughout the United States gather together to remember and honor those who served and died for this great nation so others can live in freedom.
In that spirit, American Legion Henlopen Post 5 invites all to attend its sponsored events. They begin at 11 a.m., Monday, May 29, with a Memorial Day ceremony at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand on the east end of Rehoboth Avenue. In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Ave.
After the ceremony, Henlopen Post 5 will hold an open house with a buffet lunch from 12 to 4 p.m. at 300 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach. All are welcome. For more information, call the post at 302-227-8999.
