Andrea Waters LCSW joins Pathways to Success

December 30, 2020

Andrea Waters, LCSW, has recently joined Pathways to Success.

With more than 29 years in the social work field, she has partnered with many Delaware organizations and companies by working with children, individuals and families to help them maneuver through challenges in life.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree in social work from Delaware State University in Dover and her master’s degree in clinical social work from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va., with a specialization in children and families.

Waters' approach consists of acting as a supportive guide, educator and therapist, utilizing cognitive behavioral modalities with an ecological and strength-based approach.

Fay Blake, Pathways to Success founder and executive director, said, “The challenges and obstacles the Pathways to Success youth, and all youth, are experiencing through the COVID-19 epidemic are enormous. Being out of school and so much more has led us to the need for the skills and experience Mrs. Waters brings. The added plus is that she knows many of the Pathways to Success students from conducting training at the four schools we serve: Cape Henlopen High School, Milford High School, Seaford High School and Sussex Technical High School.”

Waters also co-pastors with her husband of 32 years at Redeeming Love Praise and Worship Center Inc. in Milton. She espouses the motto of educator Rita Pierson, Every Child Needs a Champion. Her own motto is, Every Family Needs a Firm Foundation.
