Andy Jay ‘A.J.’ Becker, loved being outdoors

February 25, 2020

Andy Jay "A.J." Becker, 32, of Millsboro passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020.

He was born in Lewes May 24, 1987, to Penny Byrne and Alfred E. Becker, both of whom survive him. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a younger sister, Allyson Byrne; two beautiful children, Anthony and Ava Becker, ages 9 and 7; their mother Juliet Spann; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tommy Lee and Christine Hudson.

A.J. was a great father and a wonderful big brother. He was also a hard worker for Merritt Marine, and made sure his children had the things they needed.  A.J. was a kind, loving, and caring person with a sense of humor that made everyone smile.  He would always offer his help to anyone who needed it. A.J. was the kind of person who had a huge heart and would think of others before himself. He offered his time to support the ones he loved. A.J. loved being outdoors more than anything.  He enjoyed looking for animals, taking his kids fishing, going hiking, and so much more. A.J. left us all way too soon. He will be missed by all who loved him.

There will be a Celebration of Life memorial given for A.J. in the future. Contributions are needed to help pay for his funeral and interment costs.  There is a "Go Fund Me" set up online gf.me/u/xk5gzx or donations can be mailed to Jean Ann Hastings, 33085 Swamp Road, Frankford, DE 19945.
