Andy & Opie Fishing Tournament set June 3 in Milton

The Andy & Opie Fishing Tournament will be held Saturday, June 3, at Milton Memorial Park, 113 Union St., Milton.

Registration will start at 8 a.m., with fishing set from 9 a.m. to noon. 

All children must be accompanied by an adult and have a completed registration form to participate. To download a registration form, go to getkidshooked.com.

Participants bring their own fishing rods and tackle, with free bait to be provided. Age groups range from 7 and under to 13-17 for both boys and girls. A fishing rod or tackle box will be provided, at the end of the tournament, to the first 250 registered children. Winners will be announced at 1 p.m.

First-, second- and third-place trophies will be given to the winners of each age group in both the boys and girls divisions for the longest fish caught between 9 a.m. and noon. Two trophies will also be presented for the overall tournament champion, as well as a Goober’s Choice Award. The overall winner will receive a custom Andy & Opie fishing rod crafted by local PC Rods, a $500 value.

Hot dogs, chips and water will be provided for lunch at noon, thanks to donations from Irish Eyes, Herr’s Chips and Wawa. The Kona Ice food truck will be on site to provide cool treats.

There will be gift card and 50/50 raffles.
