Antique Alley collectibles events continue thru April 25

Celebrating all things collectible, Antique Alley of Bridgeville invites the community to experience its inaugural CollectiCon event this month, continuing through Saturday, April 25, at 18208 Sussex Highway, Bridgeville.

“Watch Antique Alley of Bridgeville’s Facebook page during the month of April where we will be showcasing a wide variety of collectibles each day,” said Jane Houtman, Antique Alley owner. “Have you started a collection? Whether it’s vintage Pyrex, Snoopy memorabilia, old coins, vintage fashions or Star Wars collectibles, you might see something to add to your collection, or something you may want to start collecting. If a customer comes into the store on the day of a featured item and purchases one of those collectibles, they will earn a door prize ticket that they can use on April 25.”

There will be daily Where’s Funko Pop scavenger hunts and drawings from Monday, April 20, through April 25, when there will be a Funko Pop-themed photobooth with props; Legos guessing game; photo contests, refreshments and door prizes during the family-friendly event. 

Houtman encourages customers young and mature to dress up in costumes such as Wonder Woman, Spiderman or vintage attire April 25. “Bring your dog dressed in a costume, too,” she said. The local nonprofit Paws for Rescue will be in attendance that day for with adoptable pets on site.

The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the party, with activities taking place throughout the day. The public is invited to attend free of charge.
