Apprenticeships offered at Sussex Tech Adult Ed Division

November 24, 2022

Sussex Tech Adult Education is the sole provider of Delaware Department of Labor Apprenticeship for Related Training Instruction for Sussex County. The division provides and documents required RTI hours necessary to earn a journeyman certificate.

The apprenticeship program combines on-the-job-training with trade-related classroom instruction and is available for automotive tech, carpentry, electrical, electrical systems tech, HVAC, and plumbing and welding fields.

Apprenticeship training is open to all Delaware residents with or without a sponsoring employer. While students are attending classes, Sussex Tech Adult Education Division counselors will work to connect them with skilled trade employers and foster the registered apprentice process with the Department of Labor.

Apprenticeship classes generally begin in September and end the following April.
