Arencibia wins fundraising award

Manny Arencibia, CFRE, vice president of development for Delaware Hospice
, recently received the Fundraising Executive of the Year Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Brandywine Chapter, at its National Philanthropy Day Conference in Newark.

Michele LeFever Quinn, president of the Brandywine Chapter, presented the award, saying, “Under the leadership and guidance of Manny Arencibia, more than $15 million has been raised over the past six years for Delaware Hospice’s programs, services and capital projects.”

She added, “During his 21-year career in fundraising and development, Manny has led the efforts of organizations such as the American Cancer Society [Essex County of New Jersey], Elizabeth General Medical Center, Hunterdon Medical Center Foundation and Easter Seals of Eastern Pennsylvania. With a strong commitment to social justice and political involvement, Manny has volunteered with numerous nonprofit organizations over the years.

He has served on the advisory board for the Carl M. Freeman Foundation, on the development committee for the New Jersey Hospital Association, and has been involved in the National Committee on Planned Giving.”
