Arlan Paul Schaller, devoted to family
Arlan Paul Schaller, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., surrounded by his devoted family. Born Jan. 15, 1934, in New Tripoli, Pa., Arlan was the cherished son of the late George and Mabel Schaller. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edna, with whom he shared 65 wonderful years of marriage.
After retiring from Tyler Pipe in Macungie, Pa., Arlan relocated to Sussex County, where he spent the past 29 years. He was an active participant in Indian River Senior Center and Lewes Senior Activity Center until his health no longer allowed him to attend.
Arlan will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family. He is survived by his children, Carolyn Bly and Richard Schaller; his grandchildren, James Hahn, Amanda Hart, Amy Wendt and Joshua Schaller; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Kermit Schaller, and two sisters, Esther Kelly and Viola Bartholomew.
