Annabell Bonk
Annabell is a freshman midfielder on Cape’s undefeated JV girls' lacrosse team. Annabell transferred to Cape as a freshman after spending her three middle school years at Greenwood Mennonite. “I love lacrosse and my dad [Brandon Bonk] was a player here at Cape, so we made the move,” Annabell said. “I am just so happy here. I love it here at Cape.” Annabell is a 5-foot-10 midfielder who can run. On the offensive end, she is lethal. She scored her 50th goal of the season May 6, going behind the back on a free-position shot. "I played JV volleyball last fall and next year I’m also going out for basketball,” she said. Annabell is part of a strong class of freshmen lacrosse athletes who have been playing together since their scooper days.
Alisa Tsirtsan
A sophomore athlete on the Cape JV soccer squad, this honor roll student ended Caesar Rodney's unbeaten and unscored on streak May 5. Alisa took a pass from Alexis Puddicombe, sprinted up the sideline and blasted a shot that beat the keeper for the only goal of the game. "Alisa has grown immensely since her freshman year," said JV coach Madison Nichols. "She has been a staple on our right wing and delivers consistently. Her effort on the field is unmatched, and she showed against Caesar Rodney that she can be a game changer and show up in the big moments." Alisa was also one of the top seven runners on the Vikings' cross country team. She is also a participant in Morgan's Message. In her spare time, she enjoys art and hanging out with her friends.
Jordan Willey
This sophomore goalie on the Cape JV squad turned in a stellar performance in the May 5 match against unbeaten and unscored Caesar Rodney. She held down the goal for five corners and faced seven shots, stopping them all. "Jordan is a varsity-level keeper who backs up varsity keeper Brynne Fox, and we were thrilled to have her for our match against Caesar Rodney," said Cape JV coach Madison Nichols. "She takes every match and every ball seriously, and she doesn’t let up until the final whistle." "Jordan had a great game against CR and made some phenomenal saves to keep our JV team undefeated and unscored upon," said varsity coach Patrick Kilby. Jordan is a member of the Morgan's Message group, the Cape thespian troop and participates with the Cape dance team.
