Aurora Skye Miller, loved to ice skate

September 10, 2019

Aurora Skye Miller, 9, of Ocean View gained her heavenly throne Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, at Nemours/Alfred I duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, after a gallant fight with neuroblastoma.

She was born in Lewes June 4, 2010, to Lauren N. (Mitchell) Limmer and Daniel Miller.  Aurora was getting ready to start fourth grade at Lord Baltimore Elementary School in Ocean View.

Aurora was a light who brought love and strength to her family as she fought her cancer for the last nine months.  Through all the treatments, she never complained and was a true angel here on earth.

Aurora loved ice skating and would frequent the Carousel Hotel skating rink in Ocean City, Md., every Sunday afternoon.  She also loved swimming and eating crabs.  She enjoyed crabs so much that she became fond of Old Bay seasoning which she added to everything she ate.  Aurora also enjoyed playing with children younger than her and being their big sister.  She will be remembered for her contagious smile that would seem to brighten up the room.

She is survived by her mother, Lauren N. Limmer and her fiancé, Michael Conner; her father, Daniel Miller; her mom mom, Denise Limmer; an uncle, Vincent Wilson; her godfather and uncle, Francis Wilson; godmother, Stacy Hastings and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon, Saturday, Sept. 21, at St. Luke Catholic Church, 9903 Coastal Hwy., Ocean City.  Aurora loved bright colors especially the color purple; so, in memory of her the family suggests wearing purple or some other bright color.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Aurora’s name to St. Luke Catholic Church Religious Education Department, 14401 Sinepuxent Ave., Ocean City, MD 21842.
