Bambi E. Collins, enjoyed sewing

Bambi E. Collins, 52, of Lewes, formerly of Bethany Beach, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Bambi was born in Salisbury, Md., Nov. 5, 1959, daughter of William and Doris (Kerr) Collins. She was a 1977 graduate of Indian River High School and was previously an active member of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and her animals.

She was preceded in death by her two siblings, Scott Collins and Brenda Showalter.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, James A. Nilan III; son, Colin J. Nilan of Lewes; her parents, William and Doris Collins of Dagsboro; a sister, Colleen Murphy of Dagsboro and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, June 30, at St. George’s U.M. Church in Clarksville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
