Beauty Spot awarded to Lewes trailside neighbors

September 21, 2022

Walkers and cyclists traveling the trail on what was once a railroad bed in Lewes experience a special treat as they pass between Monroe and Jefferson avenues. A group of neighbors has created lovely gardens for all to admire.

As they have continued the expand and nurture the area, the group has earned its second Lewes in Bloom Beauty Spot award. The gardeners received the prize of a gift card donated by Wharton Garden Center.

Gathered at the Lewes in Bloom Beauty Spot sign are (l-r) Linda McDonald; Bill and Patsy Arvidson, who spearhead the garden project; Ann Marie Rooney and Betsy Hansot.
