Beebe Healthcare: Going above and beyond

Beebe Healthcare has a tremendous staff of physicians, nurses and other medical professionals. They are known for the excellent care and compassion they provide to patients and family members day in and day out. But they are only a fraction of the more than 2,200 employees who contribute to making sure Beebe continues to provide outstanding care.

Supporting the medical staff is an army of team members, including those in environmental services, nutritional services, security personnel, human resource employees, informational services staff, fundraisers and many more. The support staff at Beebe Healthcare is the backbone of the organization.

Just Associates, a data integrity services provider that decreases healthcare information issues and minimizes the ongoing cost of maintaining patient data, was working on a project with Beebe Healthcare. Emilie Paternoster, a resident of Rehoboth Beach and an employee of Just Associates, recently made a donation in honor Patti Sweimler through the Celebrate Excellent Care program.

During the project Patemoster met Sweimier, a user analyst in the Health Information/Medical Records Department. Patemoster didn’t know it at the time, but Sweimier would prove to be instrumental during the time her company was working at Beebe.

Sweimier was what you call a go-to person. She was able to get the information the staff of Just Associates needed to complete their work. Sweimier knew the correct people to contact for specific jobs, and was wonderful at demonstrating how to make the project run smoothly. Sweimier represents the culture of excellence Beebe Healthcare promotes and expects of its employees, and she lives the Beebe values of dedicating herself to being an expert in her field.

Patemoster said, “Patti went above and beyond what was asked of her, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is a testament to the excellent care, passion and compassion of Beebe Healthcare’s staff. It is with great pride and gratitude that I make my donation to support Beebe Healthcare in honor of Patti Sweimler.”
