On July 26, the Town of Bethany Beach officially broke ground on Central Park, located at the corner of routes 1 and 26.
In 2012 the town council adopted a resolution that outlined their vision for a park which included benches, fountains, open pavilions, and a small playground area.
Subsequent polls of over 1,500 property owners, along with multiple public meetings, prompted the final designs which were created by Kercher Engineering.
A-Del Construction Co. will carry out the plans, which can be found at www.townofbethanybeach.com. Construction is expected to take six months.
