“Are you feelin’ fun-gry?”
That was the question from Bethany Blues partner Kevin Roberts as he welcomed people to the 13th annual Blues-A-Palooza Sept. 19.
“If you’re hungry and want to have fun, come hang with us,” said Roberts.
The parking lot at the popular BBQ restaurant on Coastal Highway outside Lewes was jumping on a Tuesday night thanks to the event aimed at thanking locals for their support.
“It’s really for the locals. It’s for everybody to come back out, see what we’re doing – the food, the specials – and enjoy the beautiful weather,” said Roberts.
Alice Murphy of Lewes said she came after work with her family.
“It’s so nice this time of year. We’re able to come and just hang out. It’s a really fun environment,” she said.
The entertainment featured the band Electric Velvet. Vendors included Dewey Beer Company, Cutwater Spirits and several bourbon distillers.
People could also take part in a silent auction and 50/50, with proceeds going to fight childhood cancer at Nemours A.I. duPont Hospital for Children.
