Big Fish foundation supports Clothing Our Kids

Charity donates school clothes at $4,000 to Millsboro nonprofit
May 28, 2022

The Big Fish Charitable Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides underprivileged children and families with food and basic need items. During March and April, the Big Fish Charitable Foundation held a clothing drive at Big Fish Grill in Rehoboth Beach.

As a result, the foundation was able to donate more than 100 articles of clothing to Clothing Our Kids to help fulfill its mission to improve the lives of at-risk elementary school children in Sussex County by providing them with essential school clothing.

Laura Sugrue, Big Fish Charitable Foundation executive director, presented Clothing Our Kids May 17 with a monetary donation of $4,000 raised at the Big Fish Charity Formal April 4. Held yearly at the Starboard, the event is organized and hosted by Big Fish Restaurant Group employees. It allows everyone to dress in their best formal wear and give back to the community.

The Big Fish Charitable Foundation and Clothing Our Kids teams  give a huge thank you to Robby Looney, who led the committee this year with enthusiasm and dedication to the cause. Thanks also go to Co-Chairs Alexis Brzoska and Kelsey Hammel, and all the team members and regular patrons who attended the formal to make it a huge success.
