Biggs Museum of American Art hosts show in Zwaanendael Park

Local artistans showcase and sell beautiful handmade jewelry, art and more
June 9, 2022

Artists, patrons and enthusiasts flocked to downtown Lewes May 28 on a beautiful Saturday in the park for the Delaware By Hand Members’ Day Outdoor Show.

Following a rainout of the event last year, the Biggs Museum of American Art took advantage of the sunshine and blue skies to provide a venue for local artists, jewelry makers, candle makers and seamstresses to showcase their uniqueness. Vendors lined Savannah Road and filled out the park, creating a temporary convention of creativity for guests to gaze upon and ponder purchases.

“We were really excited by the attendance coming in. Many of our vendors had a good uptick right in the morning as soon as we were set up,” said Kristen Matulewicz, curator of community and academic programs at the Biggs Museum.
