Bike MS: Bike to the Bay set Sept. 26, 27 in Delaware
Some 2,000 cyclists are expected to raise $1 million to support cutting-edge research, and life-changing programs and services for people living with MS at Bike MS: Bike to the Bay taking place Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26 and 27, in Delaware.
Cyclists will enjoy a two-day cycling adventure through scenic lower Delaware. Beginning in Dover, cyclists will ride through rural towns to Rehoboth Beach where they’ll be greeted with cheering crowds, great food and music.
The start line location is DelTech's Terry Campus, 100 Campus Drive, Dover. The finish line location is the South Side Inlet, Delaware Seashore State Park, Rehoboth Beach.
Bike MS: Bike to the Bay attracts corporate teams, families and friends of people with MS and individuals to join the movement to create a world free of MS. Each cyclist must raise a minimum of $300 to participate in the ride, with many raising hundreds or thousands of dollars more. In return, cyclists receive amenities such as bike mechanics, emergency transportation, catered rest stops and much more.
Cyclists can choose from six different routes:
- One-day, 17-mile
- One-day, 50-mile
- One-day, 75-mile
- One-day, 100-mile
- Two-day, 75 miles each day
- Two-day, 75 miles each day, plus an extra 25-mile loop on Saturday.
