Blackwall Hitch set to come to Rehoboth
Blackwall Hitch plans to bring its style of upscale seafood dining to Rehoboth Avenue this summer.
Opening in the space vacated by the Greene Turtle just steps from the Boardwalk, Blackwall Hitch will open Memorial Day weekend, said James King, CEO of Mid-States Management Group, a restaurant management company based in Anne Arundel County, Md. This will be the third Blackwall Hitch, which also has restaurants in Annapolis and Alexandria.
King said he has been vacationing in Rehoboth for 30 years and recently purchased a home in town.
“I love the area and always felt it was a great dining town. This was a unique opportunity to have an upscale restaurant close to the Boardwalk,” King said.
Seafood is the bread and butter of Blackwall Hitch, but the restaurant also offers flatbreads, burgers and sandwiches. King said his group is investing $2 million to revamp the building, including new lighting, décor and a marble bar.
“We’re really excited about the opportunity. We think it's something people will be excited about,” King said.
