Blue Line Network event to honor fallen officer Jan. 18
January 12, 2026
The Blue Line Network will hold a Back the Blue event Sunday, Jan. 18, at Hudson Fields near Milton to honor Delaware State Police Cpl. Matthew Tyler Snook, who was shot to death Dec. 23 in the line of duty.
Snook was working at the Division of Motor Vehicles in New Castle when Rahmen Rose, 44, shot and killed him.
The Hudson Fields event follows a Jan. 3 event held in Newark when the Blue Line Network placed memorial stickers honoring Snook on the rear window of each vehicle.
“This provides the community with a meaningful way to honor Cpl. Snook’s service and sacrifice, show unity, and demonstrate respect and support for the Snook family,” the nonprofit group wrote on its Facebook page.
The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and there is no charge for the memorial sticker; however, the Blue Line Network respectfully requests donations, the site states. The site also says 100 percent of all donations received will go directly to the Snook family to assist them during this tragic time.
“The Blue Line Network invites the community to come together to honor Cpl. Snook, to show solidarity with law enforcement, and to offer support and compassion to his family,” the post reads.
The Blue Line Network also asked Jan. 10 for volunteers to help with the Milton event via a Google form linked to Blue Line’s Facebook post.
The group said it would like to have 70 volunteers over the age of 13.
