Boast the Coast Day celebrated in Lewes

Sandy Fennell learned about Haunted Lewes in the Cannonball House from Gilbert McKraken, a Bay & River Pilot in the 1700s. McKraken is played by volunteer Bill Hicks.
In the Zwaanandael Museum, Bob and Lidia DeAngelis from New York try their luck at playing Crown and Anchor with sailor Andrew Lyter. A die was found in the wreckage of the H.M.S. DeBraak, giving a glimpse of life aboard the vessel.
A rainy weekend put a damper on the Annual Boast the Coast Day in Lewes Oct. 1. Visitors were still able to learn about Lewes’ history at the Cannonball House, the Zwaanendael Museum and on Lightship Overfalls, all with free entry on Saturday.
