Browseabout to host Garden Goth children’s book authors April 22
Local authors Tim and Karen Carpenter, writing under the pseudonym NanaPop, have published a children's series of three chapter books set in Pop’s Rehoboth Beach garden.
They will sign copies of “There are Goths in Pop's Garden,” “Adventures of the Garden Goths” and “More Adventures with Pop's Garden Goths” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 22, at Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach.
The series chronicles the escapades of the magical Garden Goths, Pop's helpers. Arriving on earth as wisps of smoke, they quickly adopted the forms of their favorite earth inhabitants, humans and flowers. Children and garden lovers of all ages are invited to join the Goths as they tend Pop’s garden, or travel to the beach, zoo, city or mountains aboard Pearl's flying pirate ship, a bird or a bee. Along the way, whether building an urban garden, enjoying a concert, organizing a beach cleanup or rescuing stranded hikers, their adventures are hilarious thanks to the never-ending mischief of the garden’s squirrels.
