On Friday night at the Atlantic Sands, comedy star Karen Wells kept the crowd laughing throughout her 45-minute set.

On April 7 a book launch party was held at CAMP Rehoboth Community Center by Bywater Books featuring Fay Jacobs, right, with her latest book, “Fried & Convicted: Rehoboth Beach Uncorked,” and Stefani Deoul’s new novel “On a LARP.”

Human Rights Campaign National Press Secretary Sarah McBride was the keynote speaker. McBride was the first transgender speaker at a national political convention, the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia. A native of Wilmington, McBride also interned at the White House, the first out transgender to do so. She also serves on the board of directors of Equality Delaware and led a successful effort to add gender identity to Delaware’s non-discrimination and hate crimes law.

CAMP Rehoboth sponsored the Women’s FEST Expo. Craft artisans and local vendors sold their unique art and shared information with the FEST goers. Shown are Jeanine O’Donnell, left, and Candace Morgan talking with Debbie Williams from Wilmington.

Photographer Darlene Freas, left, talks about her work with Terri King, center, and Sue Soderberg from Lewes.

Glass artist Yona Zucker, left, talks about stained glass art with Debbie Magliette, center, and Rosemary Mirocco.

The Broadwalk on the Boardwalk is a fundraiser for the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, hosted by CAMP Rehoboth. The walkers approach the end of the Boardwalk where cancer survivors will be honored.
CAMP Rehoboth held its 17th Annual Women’s Fest April 6-9. The event featured art, entertainment, workshops and book signings. Since its inception as a Women’s Conference and Weekend in 2001, the CAMP Rehoboth Women’s FEST has become a bona fide spring tradition in Rehoboth Beach.
