The Cape Henlopen School Board honored retiring Assistant Principal Patti Seabolt Dec. 13.

Cape Superintendent Bob Fulton thanked Seabolt for 30 years of service as a teacher and administrator, and noted she had also served on the district safety and climate committee for eight years.

“I know you will be able to look back at your career and know you’ve accomplished a whole heck of a lot,” Fulton said. “You chose your profession and did it well with passion and your whole heart and soul. That’s what it takes to be a great teacher, administrator and person. We have been grateful to have you, and you will be sorely missed.”

Seabolt taught at Milton and H.O. Brittingham elementaries before being named reading specialist in 2008, when she worked with students in several different schools. In 2010, she was named assistant principal at H.O.B.
