The Cape Henlopen boys’ volleyball team opened tournament play at home May 10, beating Sussex Academy in straight games 25-14, 25-17, 25-18.

Cape will host a quarterfinal match Thursday, May 12, against the winner of Indian River and Mt. Pleasant.

“Admission is free. It's the last home match – win or lose. We’d like to go out with a bang,” said Cape coach Tyler Coupe.

Cape’s win was led by Ethan “Set Up” Shuttleworth, who was credited with 25 assists.

Cape’s frontline smashers Odin Potemski, Brady Lamb, Bryce Patterson and Charles Casas combined for 24 kills.
