Cape district teams head to Odyssey of the Mind Worlds May 21-24

May 13, 2025

The Cape Henlopen School District announced three of its creative problem-solving student teams for Odyssey of the Mind have qualified for world finals and will show off their innovative solutions and inventive talents at events to be held Wednesday to Saturday, May 21 to 24, at Michigan State University.

Participating teams from Lewes Elementary, Rehoboth Elementary and Mariner Middle schools advanced to worlds by excelling at the state-level Odyssey of the Mind tournament earlier this spring. Their achievements reflect months of hard work, collaboration and imaginative thinking as they tackled complex problems in engineering, performance and design.

“We are incredibly proud of our students and coaches for their dedication and innovation,” said Jen Celano, OM district coordinator. “Odyssey of the Mind not only challenges students academically, but also fosters critical skills like teamwork, communication and perseverance.”

OM finals will bring together top teams from around the world. The Cape district celebrates the opportunity and wishes all three teams the best as they prepare to compete on the international stage.
