Cape girls win fourth straight, defeat Sussex Central 51-36

The Cape girls' basketball team won its fourth straight game Jan. 3, traveling to the “no JV" Sussex Central Golden Knights for a 6 p.m.start and coming home with a 51-36 victory. Cape improved to 4-2 on the season.

The Vikings were paced by senior Aaliyah Davis with 25 points. Kadijah Doughty dominated the backboards and contributed 13 points.

Sussex Central was paced by Jasmine Hudson with 11 points and Shamirea Sheppard with 10. The Golden Knights of coach Ron Dukes fell to 0-5 on the season.

Cape will host 4-4 Caesar Rodney at 7:15 p.m., Friday, Jan. 6.
