Cape Region property values in jeopardy

December 8, 2016

As the sea level continues to rise, and the incoming Trump administration plans to reverse efforts our government has taken to fight global warming, which will make things worse, it will be interesting to see how property values in Rehoboth, Lewes and the surrounding area respond.

It's clear that eventually our area will flood and become uninhabitable. The only uncertainty is when.

As a Rehoboth homeowner, I recognize this with a heavy heart. For how long will people invest big money in real estate that is doomed? For how long will banks lend against collateral that will erode?
