Summer is always a good time to read a book, and the Cape Henlopen School District, in collaboration with local libraries and community organizations, held the Summer Book Party at Cape Henlopen High School July 16.
The event let kids come out to get books, take part in raffles and giveaways and sign up for both a library card and register for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which mails free books to kids from birth to when they begin school.
The event featured a number of community organizations setting up booths, including the Sunshine Circle Club, Read Aloud Delaware and Delaware Readiness Team.
