Cape soccer falls to Middletown 2-0

The Cape girls’ soccer team moved to 1-2-1 on the season with a 2-0 loss to Middletown April 2 on the Legends Stadium pitch. 

The Cavs scored one goal in each half. Tallying goals were Mia Kolbjornsen and Raegan Sarnecky.

The Cavs had a 4-3 edge in corners.  

Cape junior keeper Brynne Fox made numerous saves in the cage.

“We played well against a strong Middletown team,” said Cape coach Patrick Kilby. “Games like these will make us better down the stretch as we look to qualify for the state tournament.”

The Vikings will take a short break before traveling to Sussex Central for a game at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 14.
