Caroline Huff art reception set Aug. 7 in Chestertown, Md.
Caroline Huff will have a one-person exhibition, Lightscapes, at RiverArts in Chestertown, Md. An opening reception will be held at the RiverArts Gallery from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 7. The exhibit runs through Saturday, Aug. 29. Visitors will not only be able to view Huff’s work but will also be able to see a group show, Communication Arts, in the adjacent gallery.
Huff, a Rehoboth Beach resident, will show paintings of the Greek Islands, Venice and the Chesapeake Bay area. A contemporary realist, Huff specializes in figures and landscapes. Her medium is acrylics on linen canvas. The primary unifying agent in her work is light. Light describes the mood and establishes the composition. Huff says, "I want the viewer to feel they are one with the scene. They are there. They are a part of a timeless scene.”
She has been represented by galleries throughout the United States including New York, Santa Fe, Flagstaff, Palm Beach, Houston, Beverly Hills and Washington, D.C. Her most recent show was at the Philip Morton Gallery in Rehoboth Beach.
Chestertown RiverArts is at 315 High St., Suite 106, Chestertown, Md. For more information, call 410-778-6300 or go to chestertownriverarts.org.
