The changing face of Warrington Road
Very few roads in the Cape Region have undergone such a major transformation as Warrington Road between Route 24 and Old Landing Road near Rehoboth Beach.
Construction has started on two new subdivisions – Arbor-Lyn, 142 single-family home lots, and Wellesley at Hidden Meadow, 131 single-family home lots. And construction is underway on one of the largest projects in the 105-year history of Beebe Healthcare. The $125 million, 135,000-square-foot Beebe Specialty Surgical Hospital next to the Rehoboth campus is expected to open in summer 2022.
Road work is happening on and around Warrington Road as well. A roundabout with an entrance to the Beebe campus recently opened, and Warrington Road-Plantation Road intersection improvements are underway as part of the Route 24 widening project between Route 1 and Mulberry Knoll Road.
