Children’s Beach House wins the race

The board of trustees of Children’s Beach House hosted a Beach BBQ Aug. 24 with a derby theme. Attendees obliged and wore their best derby day attire. Hat contests and a prepared movie of a horse race on the beach entertained the crowd. An art show featuring local artisans’, available for purchase, and live music on the deck kept the evening humming along. A gourmet buffet prepared by CBH chef Paula Baker and the kitchen staff was fit for thoroughbred royalty. work
