June 23, 2012

Comfort Inn Rehoboth Beach, located on Highway One, unveiled a $1.2 million renovation project this week. The Comfort Inn Rehoboth Beach, a part of the Choice family of hotels, greeted its first guest in 1996 and is owned and managed by Rehoboth Comfort LLC, an affiliate of the Onix Group.

“This project was important to the guests and staff of the Comfort Inn Rehoboth Beach. We are very excited to be able to offer guests traveling to Delaware's beaches the most modern and comfortable accommodations possible,” said General Manager Jennifer Coverdale.

The Rehoboth Beach hotel, serves more than 50,000 guests annually - a mix of visitors to the Tanger Outlets and the beaches, business travelers to Sussex County, and people traveling to attend area events such as the Rehoboth Film Fest, Dewey Beach Music Fest and Sports at the Beach.

The renovation will upgrade all 96 guest rooms with cool earth-tone décor featuring pale blues and rich chocolate tones, new furniture, new flooring, plush Durkan carpeting in living and bedroom areas and new wall-coverings, paint and modern artwork. The work will also include an upscale lighting package, including sconces and lamps with matte nickel accents; French pleated "blackout" curtains, plush all-white bedding and extra pillows for increased comfort; and new bathrooms with granite vanity, oversized mirror, brushed nickel finishes and decorative lighting.
