Community Bank Delaware hosts Customer Appreciation Day
Community Bank Delaware’s Rehoboth Beach branch knows how to throw down on Route 1, even if Google Maps still forces you to turn around at Donovan’s Drywall before arriving at the financial institution.
While Alphabet Inc. may not recognize the red, white, and blue building southbound on Coastal Highway that opened February 2021, more than a hundred people Aug. 15 sure did. Guests to the Community Bank Delaware Annual Customer Appreciation Day event included Delaware Speaker of the House Rep. Pete Schwartzkopf, D-Rehoboth Beach; Rep. Steve Smyk, R-Milton; and Sussex County Councilman Mark Schaeffer.
Lunch was provided by My t fine Catering, while sweet treats were handed out by Hopkins Dairy Farm and Na Na’s Cotton Candy.
Cyclists were able to get a free tune-up or a free helmet from SeaGreen Bikes. Bank employees say they gave out more than 200 helmets during the celebration.
Community Bank Delaware President Wm. Jack Riddle said the event was a way to give back to customers and those working to make the community a better place.
