Marine Corps League seeks new members June 24
The members of Marine Corps League Diamond State Detachment 704 are looking for a few good men, women and FMF Navy Corpsmen to join them for meetings at 7 p.m., the fourth Thursday of the month at American Legion Post 28, 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro. The next meeting is set for 7 p.m., Thursday, June 24.
The detachment’s objectives are to continue to preserve the history and traditions of the Marine Corps, specifically the camaraderie all Marines and FMF Corpsmen have experienced during their careers, and to ensure the adage, Once a Marine, Always a Marine, lives on.

Half Full fundraiser to benefit Lewes fireworks June 26
Half Full in Lewes will host a dine and donate fundraiser for the Go Fourth Lewes Fireworks fund from 4 to 10 p.m., Saturday, June 26. Sunday mass obligation for Catholics to be reinstated June 26
The Most Rev. W. Francis Malooly, bishop emeritus and apostolic administrator of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, has lifted the pandemic dispensation, thereby reinstating the Sunday and Holy Day Mass obligation for Catholics in the Diocese of Wilmington, effective Sunday, June 26. The dispensation that went into effect March 13, 2020, was put in place to help limit the spread of coronavirus and allow the Diocese of Wilmington to conform to guidelines and regulations adopted by the states of Delaware and Maryland.

Beebe to host job fair in Dover June 28
Beebe Healthcare will host a clinical job fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday, June 28, at the Hilton Garden Inn Capitol Room, 1706 N. Dupont Highway, Dover.

Coastal restoration toolkit webinar set June 29
A toolkit developed by Restore America’s Estuaries will be the topic of a free webinar at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 29, presented by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control in partnership with the Delaware Living Shores Committee. The coastal restoration toolkit was developed to provide high‐level, introductory educational information for community members on how to develop a coastal restoration project from concept to proposal. The toolkit is a launching point for developing solutions to coastal restoration opportunities that community members see in their local areas.
Speakers for the webinar will include Hilary Stevens, coastal resilience manager, and Elsa Schwartz, senior director of restoration and administration, for Restore America’s Estuaries. This webinar is part of an ongoing virtual series presented by the Delaware Living Shores Committee.

Hazard mitigation grant applications due to DEMA in June
The Hazard Mitigation Grant Program for DR-4566 Tropical Storm Isaias funding application period started in May. Up to $2,000,000 in funding is available for mitigation projects. The program is intended to assist state agencies and local governments in implementing long-term hazard mitigation planning and projects following a presidential major disaster declaration.
The Delaware Emergency Management Agency is seeking eligible projects to be submitted through sub-applicant state and local governments for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. DEMA will review all pre-applications for eligibility and determine by July which projects will move forward in the application process. Eligible project sub-applications will be required to be submitted to FEMA for further review by August. Early services offered at Westminster Presbyterian
Westminster Presbyterian Church will hold brief summer services with communion at 8:30 a.m., every Sunday in July and August, offering inspiration on the way to the beach, at 301 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
