November 17, 2023

The Rehoboth Beach Main Street team is proud to introduce the 2023 Citizen of the Year, Carol Everhart.

All are invited to come and celebrate with her at this year's 29th Annual Community Unity Dinner, set for 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Everhart is the well-known president/CEO for the Rehoboth-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, located in downtown Rehoboth Beach. For over 30 years, Everhart has been of service to hundreds of thousands of guests, and generations of locals and visitors alike. Through her hard work and dedication, she has supported and helped countless small businesses and organizations, and created successful events to draw people to the downtown areas.

Everhart came to the chamber with combined experience in the events, recreation, paralegal and creative consulting fields. She has not only been a strong supportive voice at the city, county and state levels with issues of legislation in all areas, but also been recognized as one of the top 50 most influential people in Delaware. Community members are grateful for her time, inspiring ideas, creativity, generosity and leadership.

Also, Jenny Burton will be receiving the Champion Award for 2023, recognizing her volunteerism, effort, dedication and commitment in supporting the downtown business community throughout the past six years through Rehoboth Beach Main Street.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the door for an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner complete with rolls, salad, desserts, nonalcoholic beverages and ice cream bar. Guests can pay an additional $5 for unlimited wine and Dogfish Head beer.

Entertainment includes a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, along with entertainment by the Sussex Dance Academy dancers and the Cape Jazz Band.
