We all know that trash along our roads, woods, ponds and waterways has increased substantially. Some of the trash is coming from commercial and residential construction sites.
Earlier this week, the undersigned contacted Sussex County Councilman Mark Schaeffer, who quickly recommended construction dumpsters be securely covered at the end of each workday. Coastal winds cause much of the debris to escape. This would also stop water contaminates from seeping through the dumpsters.
Schaeffer will propose this requirement to the proper officials.
The environment is not ours; it belongs to future generations yet unborn.
