Cyclists enjoy Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary biking event

November 24, 2023

The Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary Club, in conjunction with Sussex Cyclists, held its fourth annual end-of-season biking event Nov. 4.

The ride grows every year, and this year the event attracted 123 cyclists.

The course started at the Milton Historical Society in downtown Milton. Local bikers enjoyed riding the beautiful rural roads in the Milton and Ellendale area. The event was designed for all levels of bikers and offered three flat courses of 25K, 50K and 100K to ensure fun for everyone.

Seagreen Bicycle provided support for the ride. Irish Eyes in Milton hosted an after-ride party for all participants. All monies raised by the event will support Sussex County school projects to include Rehoboth Beach Sunrise Rotary academic scholarships, the elementary school dictionary project, and Rotary Youth Leadership Award scholarships. To become a sponsor for next year’s event, set for Saturday, Nov. 2, contact Jim Keresztury at 304-282-5117.
