Daniel ‘Dan’ Dunham, independent contractor

April 2, 2017

Daniel "Danny" Dunham, 51, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He went home to be with our Lord Friday, March 17, 2017. He was the youngest son of Barbara Jean Dunham (deceased) and John F. Dunham, who passed away, peacefully, in his sleep the following week.

Dan was born Nov. 22, 1965. He was an independent contractor with a servant's heart, and was loved by all who came in contact with him. He was an extremely talented musician who always had a song in his heart and on his lips. He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend his nights canoeing or fishing at Massey's Landing or anywhere that he could find water. Dan loved to collect memorabilia and had an array of collectibles and antiques.

He was a devoted husband to his surviving wife, Erika A. Dunham and showered all his love on his children and grandchildren. Dan raised them up to be respectful and decent lovers of God. The walls of our home still echo Dan's words, "As for me and my house, we serve the Lord."

Dan is survived by three siblings, Francis "Fran" Dunham and family, Newark, Jeanine Dunham-Pennington and family, Camden, and Paul Dunham and family, Roanoke, Va. Dan is also survived by seven children: Brandi and Jackie, who currently reside in Sunbury, Pa., Jeffrey who lives in Colorodo, and Stephanie, Tiffany, Jessie and Gene who live at the family home in Georgetown. Dan has many surviving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. We will all miss him dearly and forever hold him in our hearts until we are united again.

Please join all the relatives and friends to honor and celebrate the life of Daniel J. Dunham at Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark. Visitation will be held Saturday,  April 8, 2 to 3 p.m., with his Memorial Service immediately following at 3 p.m.

Dan was a dedicated partner and was active in the conferences of Joyce Meyer Ministries for many years. He gave his love, time and money freely to others. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Dan to Joyce Meyer Ministries - joycemeyer.org or to a charity or ministry of the donor's choice.
